A Safe Arrival

Jane arrived to Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital at Stanford last night around 11pm. We waited anxiously to greet her. After the team got her all settled we talked to Dr. Shin, one of the cardiologists who told us they have her scheduled for surgery on Tuesday morning. They are going to review her case this morning, look at her heart ultrasounds, and come up with a plan.

We wait…just a little longer…

Thanking God you all arrived there safely, and praying for a clear plan for Jane. I have to share something with you: last night I was visiting with a friend who asked about you, and she was moved to pray for you during our conversation. I can’t remember what she said word for word, but she was reminded of your namesakes – Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, who believed in the seemingly impossible promise that the Lord would grant her a child; and Daniel, the steadfast man of God whose faith never waivered, even in the worst circumstances. She prayed that you and Daniel would be just as they were, exemplifying their faith, strengthened and refreshed daily by the Lord’s Holy Spirit, and that would heal Jane’s heart, even through the work of her physicians. We’re holding you up in prayer. xoxo Elenna

  3. We sang this song in church yesterday…

Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord
We will wait upon the Lord

    Our God, You Reign Forever
    Our Hope, our Strong Deliverer

    You are the Everlasting God
    The Everlasting God
You do not faint, You won’t grow weary

You’re the Defender of the Weak
    You comfort those in need
You lift us up on wings like eagles
