Last Night

Jane is just happy to be alive. Last night we left late evening cuz Jane was sleeping happily, sharing her nurse with another baby. Got a call half-hour later, saying she was having complications.

We arrived to a dozen people working on a coded baby, Jane. She had a really slow heart rate for approx 45 minutes and intermittent CPR. It took a long time, but she came around somewhat. She’s still on the meds to keep her heart rate up. So all was clear, not great, but clear.

At 4am, Mama and I were waiting thru the night, and once again Jane was having difficulties. She couldn’t quite get her lungs working up to par, so her blood had only a fraction of oxygen needed. After another half hour, Jane pulled thru once again. This second episode last night wasn’t considered a “code”, my guess I that everyone was already in the room while it was escalating.

Now, Jane has 2 nurses of her own today.

And we still haven’t got any sleep.

Dear Lord, Please take Jane in Your Hands & heal her heart! YOU have the power to heal and give her little body strenght! I ask, please heal her liver, let her be able to take her Mothers nourishment, let her be able to move & open her eyes and not be so medicated! I ask again, Lord, please heal sweet, precious baby Jane! I also pray for Daniel & Elisabeth, that u keep them well, that u give them much need strength, comfort them with your Holy Spirit, give them rest. Lord Bless them with a healthy baby. Lord thank you for caring them this far. Thank you for carrying all of us. Amen

I came over here to see Ms. Jane’s log and leave you a note and was so saddened to see how her night went. I have been thinking about her since we dropped her off and wanted to let you know I am thankful that I have been able to be a small part of Jane’s life so far and that I got to meet her and her wonderful family. I know yesterday was rough on her but I am truly amazed by her spirit and will always remember her transport. She and you all will be in my prayers every day and I will definitely be checking on here for updates.

I was sad to read that Jane had a hard night. I pray she is feeling better and that Mom and Pop can get some much needed rest. I would also like to thank God for Sandra Buntin the Neonatal Transport Nurse and all others that assisted on Janes return to Los Angeles. This return could not have been possible without caring providers.

Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand so much about this, like you wrote the e book in it or something. I think that you just can do with some p.c. to power the message home a little bit, but other than that, that is great blog. A great read. I’ll certainly be back.
