Day Two

Well, another day has come and Jane is still in the nicu. At this point, she is not as stable as the docs would like to see, but they are doing ALL that they can. The overall goal is to stabilize her for several days before she has heart surgery, but that may change if they cant get her stable enough (I’ll leave those decisions up to the experts). The neonatologist, Dr. Kukreja, told us that they are doing all that they can and that me and Daniel need to make sure we do our part: talk to her, be by her, and pray with her. He told us that prayer is the BEST MEDICINE. The staff here at St. Joseph’s and CHOC are out of this world!!!

For those of you wanting to come and visit, you are more than welcome. Visiting hours for Jane are between 7:30am & 7pm. My visiting hours are between 8am & 8pm. If you come to my room first and I am not here I am most likely at CHOC. Either Daniel or I have to be with you to see the baby. Please know that if you come to visit we are very grateful, but will be limiting the amount of time to see Jane. She needs as much rest as she can get and the nurses highly suggest that she be untouched.

Please continue to pray for her health and well-being and for me and Daniel, as well. This is so much harder than I ever imagined.

    Good Morning Daniel and Elisabeth!
I so appreciate being able to log on and get the updates about how you all are doing. I’m sorry to hear that Jane is not as stable as we would all like, but our prayers will continue unceasingly. I’m so glad that you are able to be with her and let her know how much her daddy and mommy love her. I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you, and my heart goes out to both of you. God knows your hearts and cares very much what you are going through. You both have walked this journey with much strength, courage and faith, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be easy. There will be times of anger, confusion, hurt and fear. These are normal emotions that the Lord has equipped us with to feel the depths of love. You know you are loving deeply when the hurt that you feel cuts deep, just as the Lord feels love for us and the hurt cuts deep for him when we are going through difficult times, or when he sees us hurt. The love that you are feeling for your precious Jane, is the same love that the Lord feels for us. I hope that you can take comfort in knowing that He knew what this baby would need before she was born, and he chose to give her to you, knowing what you have to give her, because his spirit lives within you. The spirit of deep and unconditional love. This wonderful love that you have received from him, he knew that you would pass on to her, and I’m sure he’s pleased with exactly where your hearts are today. Hang in there! You’re doing great!

  2. Dear Elisabeth and Daniel, We are continuing to pray for you everyday, all through the day. Your little family is always on our minds and in our thoughts, your baby girl is constantly in our prayers. We know you need rest, and strength, and much patience, so we pray that you will get that along with much much love. Sending out a big, warm hug your way, and praying for the BEST in God’s grace, love and mercy.

God has led you to the perfect hospital for you and your little Jane. Just know that so many people love all three of you and are holding you up in non-stop prayer and love. May it wrap around you and blanket you in love, comfort, peace and strength as you go through this trying time. May the Lord guide the doctors and staff, and stabilize and heal Jane In His perfect time. Hardly any of us have met Jane, but she is already SO loved in our community! How beautiful!

  4. Daniel, Elisabeth and Jane.
It’s such a fearful yet strengthening time for everyone who is touched by what your family is going through. You are so not alone, but surrounded by so many who love you! I am praying unceasingly, I cannot get Little Jane off my mind. There is a prayer group at the hospital that I work in and they all said a prayer for her this morning complete with tears, reading, thoughts. There are SO so many people praying to our Lord for her healing and for your strength and for His will to be done. We all wish we could do so much more, but we just have to see Jane through and shower her with love and encouragement. My heart goes out to you guys constantly.

    Psalm 9:9
The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
    Isaiah 40:18-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

    Love and Continued Prayers

Tara Bebieff and her parents said a Prayer int heir home tonight and this is what she says.

Christine and Jacob Haprov are having a blaghodonist today in Australia. For Jenny. Christine called and asked for us to pray tonight at 930 because that will be the time they are on theirs knees being so thankful. But when we prayed here my dad also prayed for Jane. And for Daniel and Elisabeth. After we prayed my mom was crying and she said she saw the blowing of the Spirit on both little girls.
