January 23

This morning I read Psalms 23 to Jane…

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

1 The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the LORD forever.

    You are in our thoughts and prayers – I do believe Jane is a fighter just like her mom and babunya!

    I have kept your whole family in prayer since I heard about Jane’s condition in utero – & have continued to pray, several times a day. This blog is wonderful for those of us who are continuing to pray, & want to know the progress.

    I thank God that He had already impressed on your hears the precious truth essential to the life of every believer who truly desires to follow Christ, that the most important aspect of the Christian life is our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior, and our Lord.

    Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints not is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
    29 He gives power to the weak and to those who have not might HE increases strength.
    Our prayers are for the strength and peace that comes directly from God in the form of the Holy Comforter during this time.

    Psalm 23, love that one. “3 He restores my soul”, so beautiful and needed in trying times. We continue to keep all three of you in prayer. We’re here if you need us.

    Daniel and Elizabeth, I’ve just read through all your posts and I’m weeping – I’m soo touched and moved by your openness in sharing this journey, and by your faith in our Lord. We’re praying for you, all three of you, and for Jane’s medical team as well. Moment by moment, day by day, may the Lord lend you His comforting presence and fill you with strength for the day. May He give Jane an undeniable will to live, to be strong and fully healthy. I’m praying for the joyous day when you get to hold your daughter close and breathe in that delicious baby scent. Until then, keep hanging onto the Lord and His goodness and trust that He is more than “able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 3:20) Much love to the three of you; we can’t come to visit since we’ve been sick this week, but is there anything we can do for you at your home while you are away? Yard work, housecleaning, anything – please know that you can call or have a family member call anytime! (626-377-7659 cell)
